Puerto Rican-born artist based in New York City, Jorge Luis Berríos, is a poet, theater artist, and cultural organizer.
Jorge’s poetry is rooted in performance and collaboration, aiming to build community through the arts. As a CRNY resident artist at El Puente (July 2022 - June 2024), he produced 'Encuentros,' a series of events promoting healing and social justice.
In theater, Jorge excels in acting, writing, teaching, and directing, with notable roles in Tabula Rasa’s 'En El Ojo de la Aguja' and El Puente’s 'Breathe.' His career, spanning over two decades, includes directing and performing internationally.
